I have a 740i with factory ACC but it does not work, the fault code show the ACC sensor need to be adjust.
I wonder if you have did it by yourself or at the dealership ?

 

According to the DIS, there an adjust withsome mirror but i don't know how to built it.
The ACC was not available on US market, so it's very hard to find informations on it in english ...

is there really 'sensor' meant for CruiseControl

..or just the backlash on the additional cable, the one that activates the additional traction control flap on the intake body ?!
workshop book tells that the cable for the traction control flap needs to be tight, no backlash .. and every time you turn ignition on and look into the intake in front of the normal throttle flap, you can see that the computer activates the flap and verifies that stepper motor position and additional flap position does match
