Heckleuchten austausch: 5 Minuten rechts, 5 Stunden links ????

Chaps,

Last weekend's program was Heckleuchten Austausch (from orange to weiss). Used the ULO ones, fairly good material.

It took me not even 5 minutes for the righthandside....and more than 5 hours for the linkhandside, due to that mess of CD Wechsler, NaviRechner, TV module etc etc which just prevent any convenient access to the four Schrauben there.

So my question is: did I do sthg. wrong ???? should I have dismounted all the electronics there ? ?? Or is this the necessary pain in the a...ss to get to the result ?

you name it.

I have no experience with the right one, but on the left it took me about an hour
to get it out and 45 min. to fix the new one.
I used a different tool for any of the four screws
