Ich habe da leider nur eine englische Info, sehr ungenau, aber beim M60V8 Motor scheint es nicht so einfach zu sein:
Had a noisy bearing on the alternator on my 740, and also showing only 13 volt output, so decided to get garage to put a new one on. (old one had good life doing 200k +)
Dont think any of realised what a job it was going to be !!
3 hours later, and after watching 2 mechanics pulling under the engine compartment, and one pushing from the top to remove the old one, then same configeration to fit the new one, mechanics finished with the comment that it was the first and last one of those they would fit !
To remove, not only the fan and belt tensioners had to be removed, but also the power steering pump (at least had fluid changed !!) and the oil filter assy.
Even then, there is no clearance to remove past the mounting plates.
Guess that the alternator is always fitted to engine before engine fitted !
One of the wires also had to be extended as you cant refit it to the original length.
Luckily the garage only charged £35 per hour for the 3 hours so final total charge just under £300. Guess would have been an arm and leg if a dealer had been asked to do it (eg if it had been a breakdown somewhere on the road) .
