Hello Moriz,
BMW-Driver are never stupid
have you pushed both buttons? One on the front and one on the backside of the wheel?
The front is for down and the back is for up (or so).
Best regards
Jürgen

Steptronic buttons
Good evening Moriz!
The steptronic buttons to cange the 'gears' up are not on the direct opposite of the downwards buttons, but a little closer to the midst of the steering wheel on its backside! Their colour is silver, too, as on the front. If you can't find find them by touching then take a mirror and watch the back of the steering wheel.
Both frontside buttons will decrease the gears
the two backside buttons will increase the gears
Greetings from Germany Christian

Thanks quys...it´s working ok!
I bought my car from Germany but I´m living in Finland and the local BMW dealer isn´t so happy about it and the serviceattitude goes along with this fact.

Hi guys,
the problem you have, is that the early cars in some regions (I live in the US and until 2004 models, it was the same) the car has no buttosn on the back of the steering wheel. I don`t know, why BMW did this, but it is a fact. So sorry, there is no upshift possibility, you have to live without it.
Best, Gero
