Does anyone know what it takes just to install the board monitor so it will work along with the front monitor on DVD/TV?

I have a complete fond monitor and control box as well. I would like to know what cables etc. I need to install it?

Hello Erik,

the problem is, that you not only need the Monitor and the Videoboard - taht´s the little box with the rips which is located behind the Middleconsole - you also need a twin-Video-module and the rear-iDRIVE button and the conection-cables to drive the rearmonitor.

The second choose would be, to change the original TfT display against a 7" PAL/NTSC display (PAL=fbas) - so you only need a KOAXcable from the TfT to the orig. BMW Video-module in the trunk and you can watch TV or DVD.

Hi Alexander,

As I wrote U2U I do have the video control module and the fond monitor, but I have no idea of what cables to use etc.

However I think I would be satisfied with just doing what you suggest. What did you do? Did you use another monitor? And if yes which one did you use? Also I would like to know which coax cable you used, and how/where you connected it to your BMW TV/video module?
