Karosserie AHK (english)

Sorry for writing in English. My German is not very good.

I'm trying to locate webshops that sell AHK for E32 (89 750iL in this case) and that ship to other EU countries. Something like

www.rameder.de (too bad they don't ship outside Germany).

If anybody knows of any goods shops in Germany, please let me know.

Hi Amuso,
does rameder not deliver the AHK to your place? I think it´s a very good adress, maybe the best. I couldn´t find a better offer when I was searching one for mine. Provided I saw it right there is no elektronik modul for the AHK (it´s an original BMW part a special cable also belongs to it) included in the Rameder-Elektronic-Kit. But it´s necessary to avoid false messages in the check control. Anyway the whole shit is bloody expensive. I buyed used stuff at ebay for 100€s.

Thom is right. You can get a used AHK for a fraction of the price on ebay and even cheaper from different sources.

Depending on where you live it could cost a small fortune to deliver an AHK. As they are quite heavy.

So where do you live? And have you checked some of the ebay sellers like BMWgebrauchtteilehamburg or

www.gebrauchtee32teile.de ?

Hi Johan,
I am from Cologne and had to drive to Dortmund to pick it. No big thing. That trip was the real deal because the guy had other useful things that I bought. By the way: He had an 3,5l engine with automatic gearbox with low milage that he wanted to sell me for small money. Because I had only 3l and hand shift than.

I have no experiences yet with the dealers.

Yes, I'm the one and same person. Thought I'd try some local Germans to see if I got some good tips. Thanks for the link. I actually came across that company but wasn't sure how serious they were since their webpage wasn't excactly high tech

Any experience with them?

I live in Sweden so Germany is not that far away to pick up some parts, but was hoping there was some good dealers that you guys here have experience with that would ship here. I'm going to fit AHK's to both the E32 and E34 we have, but would have liked to get it on my E32 first.

Rameder's prices aren't too bad for me considering the parts are new. I realize probably not so cheap compared to eBay. I've been following eBay closely for some time and not found very much for the E32 there.

Unfortunately, no rameder don't ship outside Germany. I'll contact them and verify but their pages are pretty clear. Also their latest listing on eBay says Germany only.

I was thinking of getting a check-control module of eBay (missed yesterdays before it ended) to complete the system, maybe with some wiring. Though the wiring itself isn't a problem.

I lived a couple of years overseas in the states and couldn't find a decent E32 to buy so I ended up driving in a terrible Mercedes. Never again

Moved back in late 2003 and finally got myself a new (used) E32 back in august 2006. Bought it just outside Frankfurt (Offenbach). Also brought home a 535iA E34 for the girlfriend. That one we picked up in Essen.
Feels good to be back in a real driving machine. And I've tried to update the website and keep new stuff coming there. The plan was to make a free place for those who don't have their own webspace to publish pictures and DIY articles. Will see how it catches on. I mostly publish electric troubleshooting and know-how articles there along with a few repairs I make now and then.

I'm having trouble finding out how to set the Ort and other profile things. My German is in a terrible state

Where do I start? I managed to find a Google map of members and pinned myself in there...

On the left side click Mitgliederbereich and then go to Kontrollzentrum. There you find Profil bearbeiten, Signatur bearbeiten etc.
There you can change it. You can also add a pic of your car and add your homepage as signature.

Study the Mitgliederangebote under Mitgliederbereich also.
For example you can get a good discount from the BMW dealer Cuntz.
He also ships overseas.
