Kabelbruch?
I had the same problem not long ago. I resolved the problem with help of this forum. Thanks again.
If one of your lowbeam lights stops working and the bulb is oké, most likely it's the LKM or LCM. It's located in the fuse box under the hood on the left side. It's the big black sigarbox like thing. Get it out and open it. You wil find a circuitboard with 4 relay's. One of them is responsible for the lowbeam headlights. Examen the soldered contacts. They get cracked by time and they need to be resoldered.
Look at the document. I think it's also on the e34 website. It explanes the process better than I can recall.
I resoldered it two times. First time I was to carefull. It worked perfectly. Lights are still working fine.
low beam is different, that has 1 relay in the LKM with 2 out contacts and 2 separate fuses, high beam has one relay with 1 contact and one fuse. So if one side works on high beam, the LKM relay and the fuse is o.k.
