Verteilerkappe und Rotor

Hi all.

Today I ordered a new distributor cap and rotor for my 735 '86.
The salesman told me the production of this particular distributor cap will be discontinued in the very near future. There were 2 of them available and he told me to hurry. Cost are 160€ for a cap and rotor. The last one I bought was 90€.
Quiet a rase.
Anyway, did this message came to your ears too? I can't emagine these parts will be not evailable in the near future.

Ich glaube das ist Quatsch, denn die gibt es noch in massen und sogar sehr günstig.

Das ist genau der gleich Zündverteiler wie beim 735 (siehe ETK)

Tomorrow I will give the shop the oppertunaty of selling me this distributor and rotor for the Ebay price. I still try to buy everything in the local shops to support them. They never failed me. This must be a mistake.
But in case they refuse...I never order through Ebay. It's all new products I trust?

the parts in the link are new and from Bremi.
BMW has also built this brand.
Not all sellers sell new distributor !

Still it's strange. When I click "Alle passenden Fahrzeuge anzeigen" the message is "Dieser Artikel passt nicht zu BMW 7er 1986 E32"
But in all the other listings the parts of the e30 are also suitable for the e32.
Could it be the e30i ix e has a different cap?
BTW the parts in ETECH's link are not available at the moment.

Hi Erich.

Thanks for the reassurense. You guys have all this information at hand so it seems. I'm a bit of a newby in this area. I can fix everything but I just resently started to fix and service my car again. I went to the garage for more then 20 years but when my favorite dealer changed management the bills started to go up but worse of all the quality went down. After my 730 was serviced to death I decided to do it myself again. But now I have to find out where to get my inforation from.
I will learne.
