Motor Change, E65 in E38
Hi, everyone, I have a 750i E38 (00') BMW & I would like to change motor. Is there a possibility to take new E65 6.0i & put it into my E38? I have a half automatic (6+R) or so called steptronic, must I change gearbox too?
& if there is a posibbility, where to look for it? & price, how much will it cost?
Thanks to all

Nothing is impossible but it would be just too expensive. You would have to change all the electronics, the transmission and so on. No part you don't have to touch for that.
Cheers

If you want to do this, it would be the easiest way to look after a crash E65. It won´t be cheap at all, but you have got all the parts you need. You can also sell the parts you dont need, like the interieur (hope i wrote it right ).
best regards
