very important: when the speed indicator shows 260 kmh, it still goes higher, and that with 255 wide tires on the front axle and 285 tires on rear axle
others also comment that a bit fuel savings is possible under same driving style.
In Germany they basically nowadays only sell socalled super gasoline = 95 RON, 'normal' is almost not available.

Germany: "Super E10" 95 RON and "Super Plus E5" 98 RON are available practically everywhere. Big suppliers like Shell or Aral offer 100 RON gasoline (Shell V-Power, Aral Ultimate) at almost every fuel station. "Normal" 91 RON is only rarely being offered, because lower production amounts make it more expensive than "Super" 95 RON, so it is often not offered any more. Due to a new European Union law, gas stations are being required to offer and sell a minimum rate of the new mixture of "Super" 95 RON with up to 10% Ethanol branded as "Super E10" since early 2011. Due to that process the big suppliers are discontinuing the average "Super E5" 95 RON with <5% Ethanol so cars without the capability for using E10 need to use 98 RON petrol instead.

The transmission chip ONLY fits on E32 740 with 5HP30.
What has been changed? Here the general comment of a known tuner "Conny" in Germany to Motronic chips from this time frame/built years:
Die DME (Mo-tronic) steuert Einspritzung + Zuendung, darum hat man sie Digitale-Motor-Elektronik genannt.
Motronic controls injection and ignition
Im Gegensatz dazu die Je-tronic, die steuert NUR die Einspritzung.
JETRONIC only controls injection
Die Einspritzdauer + die Zuendwinkel sind in Kennfeldern abgelegt und werden je nach Drehzahl und Gaspedalstellung abgerufen, mehr nicht.
injection time + ignition are programmed and are used depending on RPM and throttle pedal position
Kaltlauf-Faktoren, temperaturabhangige Leelaufdrehzahl, etc. werden aus einer Kennlinie abgerufen.
cold starting factors, temperature dependent idle RPM etc are in a Kennlinie/characteristic curve and used accordingly
Die Motronic kann leider nicht mehr, als Zuendung und Einspritzung regeln
The MOTRONIC can do nothing else than ignition and injection timing
Yor car is a 740i E32 (11.92). So it should have the 404 Motronic and the 263 transmission.
