Karosserie: PDC Frage (Auf Englisch)

Hallo! Ich heisse Nick und ich komme aus Australien. Ich verstehe viel deutsch, aber meine Sprachkenntnisse sind sehr schlimm. Ich werde meine Problem auf english beschreiben....

My car is 8/93 BMW 730iL (M60). I have a problem with my PDC. It is not functioning correctly. When I engage reverse the button "flashes" and I get a long (5 seconds) "peep" which according to the owner's manual - means the system is defective. The sensors do not function for either the front or rear of the car.

There is some very minor damage to the bumper bar (scratch marks) but none visible to the sensors themselves. I do not believe that the sensors are faulty.

Is it possible there is one or two faulty sensors that are causing the whole system to malfunction? Or is it something else?

I have tried asking at  www.bimmerboard.com and  www.roadfly.com (popular English E32 forums) but not many have PDC as they have American cars which didn't come with it.

My English is not very good

It is possibly that only a sensor is defective.

At the insert of the reverse gear asks the PDC if a long beep appears is a little defective.

The Peipton comes from in front sensor is in front defective.
The beep comes from behind sensor is behind defective.

In the framework place they can test which sensor is defective.

So there is a "peep" and a "beep" depending if the fault comes from the front or the rear of the car. Peep = front and beep = back? Now how should I work out whether I am hearing a "peep" or a "beep" hahaha.
