Wow, thankyou everyone here for the quick replies. The Australian dealerships over here can get almost any part, but they are often very expensive. I normally get my parts from bmaparts.com in the USA, and after shipping costs and buying the parts they work out to be about 50% off the australian BMW dealer cost. Also buying rare parts from a BMW dealer in Australia often takes up to 4 weeks to ship them over from Germany, so its a lot cheaper and quicker for me to deal directly with gentlemen who sell the products directly.

Do the heat shield rings come with the caliper rebuild kits? If they don't I assume that I can re-use the old rings for the new pistons. The pistons and the rubber boots look okay at the moment. I just want to rebuild them so the calipers are new again.

When I look at the drawing from BMW the caliper repair kit will contain the rings. The number 10 in the drawing specifies as caliper repair kit. you would need two of these for each caliper. ofcourse you could re-use the old rings.
