DK's fuer EML - einfacher, visueller Test
Habe da gerade eine gute Beschreibung gefunden, wie man die DK-Funtionen so schoen einfach ueberpruefen kann: (ich kopier das mal hier rein)
You can actually see with your eyes if the DK motors are working properly. Open the hood and look through the windshield while you turn the key from off to position 2. Don't need to crank or start engine.
As the EML light initially brightens up, you can simultaneously see that the motors are turned some 70 degrees and back. Easier to see if you put some white mark on motor near the springs. The DK that fails probably rotates a lesser angle or more reluctantly.
After the EML light initially turns off, you can step on the gas pedal and see that the motors are rotating, even while the engine is not running.

If the DK is bad, they are very expensive. Therefore, the first thing I'd do is ensure that the wiring harness to the dk motor is not the problem, probably by checking the wires between the EML and the DK with an ohmmeter. If the wires are good, then it is either the DK or the EML itself. since the eml light is not coming on immediately, the dk would be the culprit.
