Elektrik: Mustard relay.

Hi all.
Today I checked the state of my mustard relay. Problems with the lights was reason enough to pull the relay and check the solder connections. A lot of them where cracked and the solder surface looked worn out. So I heated them with a solder iron to get a good connection again. Then I noticed a few connections with a solder bridge between them. To be sure I got back to the site with the instruction how to fix the mustard relay. Then I noticed that the relay in the intruction was different from my relay. Still the specifications on the cover are the same. Now I'm not realy worried because it funtioned in my car but still I'm curious. Are there different type relays with the same funtion. I made a few pictures of my relay. (The solderconnections are still not to my liking. I need a little more heat.)
The other strange thing is that my LKM is a L version. Not a B one. I'm a bit confused be the intructions:  FIXES - LAD It seems as if the only LKM type with the mustard relay problem is the LKM-B one. My car should have a LKM-B type since it is a '86 model. But than, I can have misunderstood.

At least there are 2 different versions - one ECE-version and one US-version.

The ECE-version only activates the flash lights, the US-Version also the high beams.

Henk: The info on my site is a bit confusing I found just, it is also the LKM-L and not only LKM-B. See the headline in the DIY article: Resolder and fix the infamous mustard relay (for LKM-L).
There was always a confusion more than 10 years ago when and how, here is the answer I hope:

The technical info at that time we had was only available for 735 and 750, not for 740.
Apparently on the newer LKM of the 740 this function is integrated into the LKM.

I understand, I think.... There seem to be a lot of possibilities depending on the type of car and country. Of course I own the car for about 5 years now and I there is no information what the previous owner did or had done to the car in the 25 year before although the maintenance papers are very consistent. Before I bouth the car it shifted owner a few times in one year. There is no record of that year so thats a blank spot in the history. I'm not worried though.
I will solder the contacts for a second time to be sure the connection is foolproof. Tomorrow I will put it back in the car and see if there is any difference. It will take a while I think because the warnings can have also other reasons.
I'll keep you posted if I can figure out the course for sure.

Update.
Drove around a couple of times without any check control warnings. It looks like the resoldering did the job. Let's se if it stays that way.

Update. Problem solved.
Hi all. It's been a while since I resoldered the Mustard Relay. I think the problem is completely solved. By now I should have had a gong warning again if the problem was still there.
