Backrest disassemble.

Hi all.
In order to get to the upper mount of the back shocks I tried to disassemble the backrest of the backseat. The manual says there are 4 screws on the lower side of the seat. The 2 at the outer corners are easy to find, but there have to be 2 in the middle behind the storage locker. In my car there is a metal mountingplate for the hinges but there are no screws to find. I tried to unlock the plate because it looks like this should be possible but there is no way it will release. In the manual and the OEM is a different mounting plate for the hinges.
Anyone who recognizes the plate on the photo's and more important where are the 2 screws in order to release the backrest.

I wasn't clear enough.
I try to disassemble the backrest in the back of the car. Not the front seats. According to the manual there should be 2 screws behind the storagebox in the middle of the backrest. If you hinge the storagebox down from it's vertical possition, it should reveal 2 plastic screws. In total there are 2 but these 2 I can't find. Now all of a sudden it occurs to me that maybe they are reachable from the trunk.

Hi Erich.
I don't have electrical seats but that should not be the problem. Still, it looks like a complete different car. I have to look into my car again to to underdtand the discription.
I have to do that a different time because I have to leave now.

Hallo.
I took another look this morning and I could not find any resemblance with the discriptions. But in some photo's I saw 2 metal hooks. One on each side of the space were the storage box was in. They look like the hooks behind the metal hingeplate in my car. There was only one possible way I could see to losen the plate.
There were 2 holes in the hingeplate. I tried before to move them but they would not give way. Long story short. I was able to open them with the aid of a hammer. When the whole contraption was out I could see the marks that somebody left when he tried to get the hingeplate out be force. Thats why it didn't give way when I tried to losen it in the first place. One screw is missing. The car was abused. I noticed that before.
Problem solved although I don't understand the difference in my manual and the DIY in several sites ( johan meet.com etc.).
