Luftklappe Klimaanlage
Hallo,
E32 1986 december.
Ich habe in der Clima anlage eine kaputte Luft klappe. Zie wird betätigt via ein Steppermotor oben auf die anlage. Es sind 2 davon, einen für links und einen für rechts.
Ich habe keine neue Luftklappe bekommen also hab ich zie repariert.
Wen ich alles wieder zusammen baue, gibt es da einen vorgang um die motoren und die Luft klappe zu montieren.
Kann man da einen Fehler machen?

as i remember, theres only al little tap to push, if you remove the stepper...

Or do i missunderstand your question? do you mean some kind of synchronisation for the both flaps?

just install the stepper motors, they will find their default position by increasing ampere.
see item 5.4 page 30 and 31

Hello T bird.
Maybe you misunderstood. It's hard to explane. Try again.
I took the damaged flap ( valve ) out ouf the housing and repeared it so it wil fit on the square axel. But because of the damage the motor could freely turn around so now it's of it's position.
So when I re assemble the whole thing, I need to take the motor of and turn the arm from the gearbox to a default position so I can reattach the metal rod that operates the flap to the arm of the gearbox. But than I don't know the default position.
So my question. As I start the engine, how does the software know in which position the flap to not demage the whole thing again?
I hope I was clear this time.

I thought is must be some thing like that, but it's better to be sure. So it isn't important to have the position exactly right. It will "learn" where it has to be by running against the stop in it's casing?
I'll read the artikel.

Ich denke zu wissen was Du meinst. Du kannst bei dem Servo die beiden Schrauben lösen. Dadurch kannst Du das Getriebe vom Motor trennen und Das Rechteck in eine günstige Position drehen.
I think knowing what you mean. You can remove the two screws of the servo. So you can separate the gearbox from the engine and you are able to turn the square. Now you can plug in the gearbox and mount the small engine.

Hallo Erich.
It's the first motor. My system has Bosch steppers installed but they look very muth the same. Mine has a white plastic thing in the hole where the metal rod is clipted in. The other one with the brass square thing is for all the others as far as I detached them.
On the picture I attached, it's steppermotor 6 operating the flap on the other foto. I repared the flap. Couldn't get an other one according to my dealer.
Now I have to install the flap and the metal rod with the plastic yellowish device (also on the foto) This device has a square axel which goes in the square hole in the flap.
There is also a white plastic device still in place which operates another flap made out of perforated aluminum.
The white device clicks in the yellowish device so both flaps are operated by the same motor.
I go on reading the PDF.

yes, number 6 I also had in my hands, it did not stay in position there and always went out of the clips, fixed it with ziptie and still fine, before the flaps on driver side were not moving. That stepper motor has the hole.
Go thru this site of Joe, he made also a new bracket for this flap, you can also see the white clip on the other picture from you

Hallo Erich.
I saw the pictures on the site. It seems that a lot of people figure out a solution for the same problem.
There should be a kit for these kinds of repairs.
I still can't believe they are not for sale as a separate piece.
Looking at the pictures the repairs with only epoxy seem not very durable to my. If they are, I spend way to much on my solution.
I repaired the flap with a piece of brass square tube, a brass washer and a piece of rond tube. I fixed the part with a hard steel rod which I hooked halfway in to the flap, and a square aluminum bar that fitted into the plastic and the brass axel hole. Then to be sure I glued everything together with a special 2C epoxy. It's steady as a rock.
