Black smoke

What can be wrong with a 750i, if it comes black smoke from the exhaust? To much fuel?

Yes! I think it could be the lamdasond or maybe the "luftmassenmesser". How is the engine working?!? Less power?!? How does it run???

is it really black smoke,or could it be,that it´s blue /dark blue smoke? If yes.your engine may be fault,it burns oil.

The engine is working good. My father has a 750i -88 and I have compaired them and mine goes almost exactly the same as his, no difference. The engine runs very good. I dont know what can be wrong, it comes black maybe a little blue smoke too. That was when I had 5W-40 oil, full-synthetic, and then I changed oil to 10W-50 full-synthetic. Then it was not so much blue smoke, more black. I went out today and pushed kick-down in 60 km/h, then with 4000-5800 rpm is came some black smoke, I dont know if it was blue, maybe some parts of blue. If the engine takes oil, what is wrong with it? The "Kolbenringe", "dichtungen", or something else?

I only can remember my 2002. whenever i went off the "gas-pedal" (pedometer?), a cloud came from the exhaust pipe. but there was no problem. nowadays, when i start my 750, there is water smoke (grey/white). i think it is normal. blasting out the water from the exhaust pipe, untill it is warm/hot. but black smoke ??

could be.also it could be,that the cylinder head gasket is faulty.

No, problem. I´am a little bit angry because I dont want to take the engine down in parts, it´s very expensive when it comes to V12-engines. I dont think that it´s the cylinder head gasket, if it were, shouldn´t the car take water and mix the water with the oil? I dont have that problem. How long does a 750i smoke then it´s colstarted, I mean white smoke? I have heard at BMW and they dont think it´s the "Kolbenringe". Is it common with "Kolbenringe" defekt on 750?
