Yes ... actually I've changed the whole engine / ECU for a motronic version, which's taking ages ... thanks to BMW parts supply which makes me waiting weeks and some times months for parts ... Now I'm dealing with motronic wiring harness which's also a nightmare But it's going to be ready to hit the road soon ....

Why the engine change Afshin? Did you blow the original motor?

No ... blowing is not the right word, "cooked up" is actually a better word
Allways had heating up & overheating issues until I got fed up with this engine ... later I figured out that this's somewhat "normal" for L-Jetronic versions These engines have a poor cooling performance due to their "perfactible" water running conduct's design through the head. This head is actually identical to other M30 NA models, only its exhaust valves are different to handle with extra heat of turbo pressures
On motronic version there has been ALOT done on performance side and to make that engine really bullet-proof (specific head, oil injection to cool-off pistons, ... etc)

Now we know that the UK 7er board was attacked by a sabateur bearing a grudge.
what a thoroughly nasty piece of work he must be.
I hope they catch him and prosecute.
