The luxury tax in NL is really tough, it is something around 40 % isn´t it? I´ve seen a Rolls Royce Drophead at a car dealer in Hengelo and that one was priced with EUR 708.000

We went for a test drive in a 760Li at the factory in Munich/Garching and this car had the extended aircon in the back. They told us that this is an option for Saudi Arabia etc, because its very hot over there. Here in western Europe this option doesn´t make sence. As well we just didn´t want to lose any trunk space.

The luxery tax in Holland is indeed very though, 45,2% of the base price.
So base price, plus 45.2% BPM(luxery tax) and 19% VAT over base price.
And a bonus or penalty of between -1400 to + 1600 acording to the energy label.

We just donated 64k luxery tax to the government I think they will send it to Greece now

Congratulations, this car is a real dream. This is absolutely impossible! You pay almost 1.5 times the base price. But how is this luxury tax defined? When is a car a luxury car and when not? And is this tax only for cars or also for other luxury goods?

And your VAT is immense, I know it's because of the EU, but we in Switzerland do have 7.6% and we don't have a penalty for energy label (just from this year on, we're going to have to pay a bit more, but as I know Switzerland there aren't many things gonna change )
