Hello E23-Friends!

I will write this question in English but please feel free to answer in German. I understand it more than I can write. I have a 745 from 1980, L-Jetronic. I'm changing the distributor cap, rotor and ignition cables.

As I understand my rotor is marked 5000 Ohm and is used only in larger M30 with L-Jetronic as 733i and others. But the distributor cap and cables are the same for almost all M30 with L-Jetronic? Same to 728i as 745i.

Is this correct or have I misunderstood something? Want to check before order the stuff.

Any advice will be highly appreciated..

Hallo,

die Unterschiede beim Rotor (bei gleichem Baujahr) resultieren vermutlich aus der etwas höheren Drehzahl, bei der der 728i abregelt.

My largest concern now is the actual Zündkerzenstecker, the are all the same for e23 except for 745. Anyone who knows what is so special on the ones to the 745?

Beim 745iA wurden m.E. keine grundsätzlich anderen Kerzenstecker als bei den anderen E23-Modellen verbaut. Nur der Zeitpunkt, ab/bis wann welche Stecker verbaut wurden, kann sich zwischen den E23-Modellen unterscheiden. Da passen anscheinend auch die Angaben im ETK nicht immer zu 100%. Hast Du mal ein Bild was aktuell verbaut ist (falls die noch original erscheinen)?

Will take a picture and post here later. I got insecure since ETK showed everything the same except for the socket (and rotor) but now we straightened things out.

Hello again,

so I checked the marking on the Zündkerzenstecker and it is Bremi 13213/5 and it says 5K Ohm. They must also be old since they also say W Germany

Can somebody please confirm if the this is marking on other e23 or other BMWs? Maybe I don't have the correct ones for my 745..?
