Alarm won't turn off
"I posted earlier regarding recharging my battery in my '91 735iL. When I put it back in the car and tried to start it the alarm went off. I think at this point the problem involves the alarm and not the battery after all. As suggested, I tried locking/unlocking the doors to disengage the alarm. After multiple tries (I had to lock/unlock it several times in a row) I was finally able to turn it off by unlocking the passenger door. BUT as soon as I go around to the driver side and open the door the alarm goes off again. I can't get the LED alarm light to stop flashing nor get the alarm to stay quiet and the car won't start. Is the no start due to the alarm?
The driver window will not roll all the way up, it's short by about 1/8". I don't know if that's pertinent or not. Any suggestions are appreciated."
