Hier noch was kopiertes:
As for throttle motors I followed a website (can't find it right now but am very thankful) to clean up and lub the inside of the motor assembly and see very few EML messages now. I also follow a discipline that I impose on myself: After I switch the key to position 2, I'll let it sit there for three or four seconds while I turn around and do the seat belt business. I'd check that the EML light turns on for two seconds then off. Sometimes I step on the gas pedal to "exercise" the motor flaps (yes you can actually see them rotate if you open the hood). After that I'll crank the engine.
One out of fifty times the EML light remains on and I would switch off and on again and every things normal again. Never (knock on wood) have a limp mode since. Cold weather might have made the battery weaker or motor shaft more sticky so that can explain why you see EML light now and not when weather was warmer.

Aha, hier steht was:
DK throttle motor?
So is the EML light still on now after you replaced the battery?
I made some observations a couple of weeks earlier when my V12 displayed the EML light when started cold in the morning. Here is what I saw:
Engine off. Open the hood and watch the spring of the left DK from the driver seat. Then insert key and turn to position 1. Stop for a couple of seconds and turn key to position 2. The EML light, as well as the oil and battery lights on both sides will illuminate at the same moment. In one second the EML light then turns off. Watch the DK spring. The DK would wiggle approximately 5 degrees and back. The other DK should do the same thing. The EML light should continue to stay off in the next few seconds and (in my case) I can start the car and all 12 cylinders should fire.
That day the EML light was on, I hadn't paid attention to the initial sequence like I described in the last paragraph. But subsequent start after one minute of vibrating idle I saw the EML light stayed on at position 2 with engine off. I conjectured that some initial self-test on the DK and relevant circuitry didn't pass. After I drove the car slowly for three more minutes and let the engine sat for another ten minutes, the car started and drove fine. I measured the supply voltage at the front cigarette lighter with a DMM.
Engine running --13.8V
Engine off -- 12.40 V
Key at position 2 -- 12.0V
Crank -- 10.2V (These are numbers measured when the V12 behaved normal)
Anyway, just want to provide you with some observations and numbers to compare and diagnosis. You might start diagnosis by observing the initialization movements of the two DK motors at position 2 and see how the EML light behaves even before the engine fires. That might point to cleaning and lub of the DKs. Please post your observations. I am not through with the same problem myself.
