Innenraum: Klimabedienteil teilenummer und codieren

Hello,

Here´s a problem:

My friend has a 1994 740, the automatic A/C panel (with restwarm) and it has got pixelproblem (pixelfehler)with "old spec" panel with two LCD-panels.

So i read your very informative forum and found out, that facelift A/C panel should fit directly to the car.

I bought new facelift panel from the ebay (with restwarm), but when we fitted it, the A/C didn´t work correctly.

No problem i said, just code it at the BMW-dealer and it should work.
...well it didn´t. They couldn´t find the new panel with their diagnostics system at the BMW-dealer!!!

Could someone give information, what could be wrong. We have taken the battery cable off few times, but nothing helps.


Old panel partnumber:

64188369781

The new panel partnumber: (which doesn´t work correctly)

64118377581

BMW dealer recomended panel 64116901307, which should work.

Please give me some help, Sie können auch im deutsch anworten...

I think you bought a broken unit, there is no code necassary if the unit was used only a new one has to be coded.

Good dealer`s always have one for a test!!

That´s not correct.

I must code my used unit at the BMW-dealer because it was a newer = pre-facelift unit.

Ok, thanks for the answers. the local Bmw dealer said, that the 64118377581 is not suitable for replacing the old one, because their diagnostics can´t find the panel from the car´s system...

If someone has got some fact about the partnumbers and should that panel work if ain´t broken then, i´ll recieve them happily.


(BTW. I´ll have to that mention we tried the E39 panel also earlier, well i should have read you your forum before that. It didn´t work, as you already know. )

..and now it works.

The local BMW-dealer didn´t know how to code it, changing dealer helped.
