I don't know about so seriusly the requirements, I've saw on youtube master in a workshop ,who had restore a Mersedes after serious crash, it had a 'complete death' status from an insurance company,but customer wanted to safe his lovely car, it has big damage in district front side,and main spar was damage. So a master said that it's not unligal in a Germany,just do not hide the welds on the spar,and other body panels can fix and weld. People can refute me if I do not right.: F
