Hi all.
I didn't participate in this topic anymore because I'm to far off to be of any help. It seems there are enough people with the skills to fabricate these tables.
I think you should try and answer the question what the costs are going to be.
Next you could find out how many of you are willing to participate in the project to find out if it's possible to make that amount for the money available.
They get sheaper by the dozen so...
Somebody should act as a project manager.

If it's of any help I know a outstanding crafsman who is retired and knows everything there is to know about wood. He is not going to ask major prices. If you pay for the wood and his costs and a little fee I think he would love to be of sevice. If someone could provide a exact drawing I could visite the guy and see what he has to say.
Has anyone of you found a pice of wood with the correct woodgrain? On the pictures there is rootgrain. I think that type of wood is not so easy to come by if I'm not mistaken.
I still think you have to somehow layer the structure to prevent the table from twisting. Even a little bit of twist will cause the mechanism to faile.

Greetings Henk.
