The winter has been exceptionally hard and strict here on the west coast of Norwegen, so there has been some extra time in the garage.



A little update:
Has for the first time, try sitting in the M60-machine I want to use, and ZF 5HP-18 getriebe.




One more layout image. As you see, it is now the challenges begins. It is so narrow, that it is almost laughable. My God! This will take time.







Here it shows that the M60'en stands on the original engine paws on the original engine curb on the "old" platforms for the M30's on the traverse.





Here is the modified suspension of 5HP. With reinforcements for future suspension of the exhaust system.





I had to raise the engine 18 mm to more than planned, due to the steeringrod came close exhaustmanifold.




I'll submit the shaft to "Powertrain AS" in Oslo/Norwegen these days for shortening 40 mm, replace the cross and the bearing, as well as balancing.

But much, much remains to be done:
- New brake-pipes must be planned
- New gasolinepipes and transfer to the engine
- New custom pressed hydraulic pipes and hoses for powersteering
- New pressed custom hydraulic hoses to the braking system must be made
- Location of battery and plan for new power cables
- Coolingwater System
- Connection of the heatregister to coupèfan
- New coupèfan
- New alternator needed
- New drive belt
- New running wheels for belt tensioner
- New viskosefanchlutch with fan
- Placement of DME and ZF control devices (Where?)
- The electrical connection of M60 ............. !!!
- Provide transfer from gearlever to 5HP
- Exhaust systems
- Lamda
- Catalysts
- Location of air filter
- Replacement of oil filter
- Engine Oil
- Hydraulic oil
- Spark Plugs
- The fuel system
- Front wheel Position

etc etc

Especially adaptation of new hydraulic hoses to the steering and brakes will be a challenge and will cost ... something. So, as you know, the remaining will take time. I'll guaranteed to ask for advice. A drivable E23 towards the fall of 2010?

Maybe an old E34 M60-530iA would usefulness for parts? :
