Moin. Aus Schweden hier, so ich versuche in englisch erst.

Can you please tell me if this car is anything to buy?

Should I be worried about the kilometer stand? 114.000km.

What should I look for in this car? What are the things that usually break?

Is it worth the money he is asking? The rims are not so good looking....

There's nothing wrong with the rims. Exept they're coyote ugly

and they show mirrorlike reflections, for example of another other car around

I would'nt buy it... Simply because it's a sale on behalf of the customer. This means, you will lose all warranties guaranteed by German sales law, written down in the BGB

Imho this behaviour is untrustworthy, mate... and we're talking about more than 30 grand... Take a good advice and don't do it

I told you once and I'm willing to do it again... I will not recommend this car at all, to me the seller ist not trustworthy and greedy.

Besides that, I've misplaced my chrystal ball, the cards of Tarot are totally worn and I can't read the coffee ground, I drink tea

I suppose, no one here in this community will tell you with a clear conscience, if this car will have minor or major issues now or in near future. Above this a 2012 760Li is not a major topic.

If you like to bring your thoughts closer to a better feeling in your belly... Ask the seller, if it's okay, when you drive that bimmer over to the next BMW branch, you'll find one easily yourself on the www, to carry out a used car check there.

I assume, you're wealthy enough and hopefully also smart enough, to spend some bucks on this. Or on the optional, extra charge warranty.

I do not see a specific reason to be so negative about this car or the seller without any other knowledge then the advert. It says in the advert that the car is currently registered making a commission sale more likely.

This seller is also selling some other high end luxury cars, some without warranty as the Rolls Royce Silver Shadow and the Mercedes 600 - this is quite common as giving proper warranty on these kind of cars can be an uncalculated risk as bills can very quickly go to 5-figures...

This 760Li is a 2012 (facelift) model with normal mileage - I don't think the price is very far of the mark - perhaps there is some room to negotiate specially if it will be exported. If this is the car you really want (colours, options) then you might want to consider paying a bit more because if you buy a cheaper one with a colour you don't like so much you might regret it.

Another option you have is to send an indepedent car expert to check the car this will cost between 100 and 200 Euro.

PS - these wheels are horrible but perhaps it is a second set with winter tires, I would definately ask for a discount because of these wheels alone...

Bei diesen Typen, egal ob Sie nun im Nobelbüro sitzen oder in einem Bauwagen auf'm Kiesplatz..., die sich aus der Gewährleistung ziehen, mit einem Verkauf in Kundenauftrag - der übrigens oft einer genauen rechtlichen Prüfung nicht Stand hält - da könnte ich kotzen!

Bei einem Gebrauchtem, der 15 Jahre alt oder gar älter ist und nur 1.000 Euro kostet, da könnte ich es noch verstehen. Aber bei jemandem, der solche teuren Autos verkauft, das ist einfach nur unredlich.
Wer Kaufmann ist, der hat auch (s)ein Risiko zu tragen, basta. Ich meine, der Verkauf im Kundenauftrag, der gehört zum Wohle und Schutz des Verbrauchers bald per Gesetz abgeschafft...

Man könnte auch argumentieren dass die Gewährleistung abgeschafft werden kann für Gegenstände die ein bestimmtes Alter erreicht haben. Oder dass Privatpersonen auch keine Gewährleistung ausschliessen dürfen. Die Sache ist wie sie ist und manchmal ist die Sache klar eine Betrugsmasche, aber das würde ich den Händler hier nicht unbedingt unterstellen.

Der Händler schreibt explizit, dass das Auto noch angemeldet ist, was ein Verkauf in Kundenauftrag wesentlich wahrscheinlicher macht - es gibt tatsächlich Leute die ihr Auto lieber von einem Händler verkaufen lassen, ich habe das schon mehrmals erlebt.

The model 760 is considered very reliable, no comparison to the 750i V8! The members of this forum have no particular problems with their 760 (see in the section F01).

Many thanks for helping me out.

I’ve decided to go for the M760Li instead. They cost a lot more, double the price of F02 but I can’t really find a great 760Li with low miles and right colors.(right now that is)

I just have to save some more money. A lot more money.
I drive my E38, but it’s getting really old now.

Loved the interior on that F02 though! Just like that Twilight Purple F02 from Abu Dhabi.

I would not worry about low miles, these cars are still young enough that they will almost always be 1 or 2 owners and well maintained. If they have a lot of miles its usually long distance. If you can afford a G12 then go for it but right now they are very expensive. My main worry would not be reliability but that it gets stolen.
