I can see it’s missing night vision, corner cams and some minor stuff.
124.000km. Should I be worried? I don’t want to buy a old ultra expensive car that I have to change turbos and valve gaskets at as soon as I get back home.
Please get me right, anything can happen. But I mean like the old M62 that has passed ++200.000km and not serviced the cam chain is a huge risk to buy.

Any problems with vanos on the N74?

I’m pretty much set on the M760Li, but I have to say the F02 is way more beautiful.
The engines look very much the same too. 6,6L could be a little cooler, but I’m not that much of a fan of XDrive. I like the traditional BMW RWD.

If I buy a old ass car and it breaks down I will hate myself.

Any input on this one?

Your arguments make no sense - the cheapest M760 costs just below 100.000€ and the average F02 760 around 30.000 - that gives you a 70.000€ repair budget.

I will bet you you won't have as many repairs on the 760i as you will lose money from depreciation on the M760.

The major worry on these engines seem to be carbon deposits if it is used a lot for short distances (worse in the cold). An pre-heater (Standheizung) might be a good option specially if you live in Sweden.

Hmmm, when you put it like that it seems like a no brainer.

I don’t like expensive repairs. Last year I had to repair my E38 for €6.000. Yes, it’s a old car.
I bet the 760Li is even more expensive than my E38.

Ok, so longer rides and floor it sometimes.

I had a idea letting G-Power tune it to 610PS. You think it could handle that amount as the N74B66TU does??

I think so but for what? The jump from 326 HP to 544 HP is very big and put you always a grin on your face when you floor it. The difference between 544 and 610 HP is relatively small and at this performance level absolutely negligible.

Just for the fun of it. The M760 has 610 and so can a F02.

Hmm, quick question. If the N74B60 totally breaks down - wouldn’t the N74B66 fit right in??

Also, I can see this black 760 doesn’t have Bang Olufsen sound system. Is it possible to retrofit easy? I like that speaker that lifts when you turn it on. Cool feature.

Ich denke, hier macht sich jemand auf unsere Kosten einen Spaß, hält uns "am Laufen" und zum Narren...

Die Fragerei ist imho nicht mehr ernst zu nehmen und schon lange in Richtung Nonstop Nonsens abgekippt. Explodierende Motoren und ZKD-Schäden bei den diskutierten Fahrzeugen, die Rede von einem old ass car... auf mich wirkt das paranoid.

Und das Geld, um seine Ideen umzusetzen, hat er auch gar nicht beisammen.

Over and out, ich denke, wir füttern hier nur das Ego des TE...

No worries, I get this all the time.
Instead of criticizing you could throw in some valuable input. Apparently not.

Don’t take it so seriously with exploding engines. We all know turbos are expensive as hell and they certainly don’t last forever.

Next week I will drive down to Germany to have a look on a couple of 760Li.(and eat some Bratwurst)

I’ve noticed that most cars are missing some of these three buttons next to the parking switch. It’s camera, self parking and ????? Hill descent assist? How does it work?
