Just bought a BMW 730i 1991 model with a broken gearbox.

The marking on my gearbox says 4HP22-FS.

I have been in contact with a guy who has a gearbox that is from an bmw 730i 1988 model, but his gearbox says 4HP22-EK.

I was wondering if there is any differense between these two, and if there is, what is the difference? Will it still work just fine on my car?

My gearbox is marked with4HP22-FS, but the other gearbox is marked with 4HP22-EK.
Does anyone know what the difference is, and if this one still will fit my car/engine?
