that is what the O-ring from NAPA costs with tax. It is part # BK-7272222 BELKAMP. The whole repair took about 1 hour".

Re: Power Brake/Steering Booster (145 views)

Message: If your brake booster is leaking, there is a much, much cheaper alternative than replacing the entire booster. The Dealers are not authorized to complete this repair procedure for some unknown reason (liability and/or profit). BimmerHaus Performance in Broomfield Colorado, has completed this repair many times. They will do it for about $100. You can contact them at (720) 566-0521 or
www.bimmerhaus.com and talk to Dave Stackhouse or Jim Leithauser. You can try replacing the leaking O-ring in the booster unit yourself, if you know what you are doing. It reguires removal of the booster unit. Where it connects to the reservoir, there is a bolt that you can remove with a vice grip thus exposing a black plastic cap about 1 and 1/12 inches in diameter. The O-ring is located in this cap. You can obtain this O-ring from a local N.A.P.A. auto parts store. It is listed by them as O-ring # 72222. BE AWARE, THAT ONCE YOU REMOVE THE BOLT, THERE IS A COMPRESSED SPRING, APPX. A FOOT LONG, THAT WILL CAUSE INJURY AND SEND PARTS FLYING.

Brake Booster O-rings

Much has been posted about the use of the Nitrile O-Rings (NAPA #72222) to repair leaking seals in the brake booster. NAPA sells them for $.69 each but they are available for $0.09 each (in quantities of 100) through allorings.com

Denke mal, das BUNAN passend ist als Material
Hier die Abmessungen
Two hours start to finish. We sourced a different o-ring here as Napa Canada doesnt recognize the #72222 as recommended for replacement, using instead a teflon o-ring sourced localy. same
