Schon irgend etwas unternommen wegen der Seite von Max?

Habe heute folgende email bekommen von ihm, die er an Gale und mich geschickt hat:

Hi guys...

Just though I'd pass on the news that the E32 has departed the garage
here, gone to a good (hopefully) home along with lots of spares & the
obligatory Bentleys (the new owners' fathers comment was "wow, I've got
one of those for my Studebaker!!"). Basically, it was getting to be too
much of a drain on the family - just got refused town planning for a
replacement double garage, and also the gas prices here in NZ have gone
up almost 60% in the last year - not the best when it's just me doing a
solo suburban commute in the 735i.

A few parting comments of interest for you both:

- the banjo bolts never did go in, Don, but you'll be happy to know
they're going into a well-loved M5 E28 of a friend; show you the times,
he was **given** the car, just had to solder up the ECU.

- The clips for the accelerator cable are now obsoleted by the cable
having a fixed steel tube at both ends, directing the cable & retaining
it very positively. Had to get the cable replaced as mine was fraying
(just before I sold it, but WTH, it was a safety issue). Also, BMW NZ
could get the clip ex Germany, but the clips/cable recall was US-only.

OK, pass on all my best to the rest of the guys that knew me, if they're
really desperate they can always try to get hold of me, still got the
ETK, ETM & TIS here, but just no more car... I thought I'd pass this on
in private email, as most of the new Raodfly crowd don't know me anyway.
I have gotten another BMW though, a 96 K1100RS two-wheeler, so there is
still one in the family (back where I started before the 735!)

Good luck with all the vehicles, it's been a pleasure being involved
with the E32 crowd & yourselves in particular; Erich - take care with
all those highlines, maybe you can make a scaled-up version as a
campervan someday; Don - good luck with the Alfa, get your son in on the
ground floor & he'll enjoy the wrenching for life. Take care, if you're
ever heading down NZ way, drop me a line.
