I´m 1.96 m too, and I have no problems with the "Komfortsitz", for me it´s the best seat in the E38 and in my opinion much better than the "Kontursitz" (but that is from person to person different
)...
Maybe you should look for an E38, no matter if it has Komfort- or Kontursitze. There are several persons (for example in this board), who are in love with the "Komfortsitz" but have "Kontursitze" and maybe you can change the seats with anybody of them.
So that was my first idea
But I can´t belive that there´s no way to get an Kontursitz from your dealer
Maybe you should ask BMW in Germany, I´m sure they will have a solution for your problem
Changing the windows to double-glas seems to be very difficult, because you need new door-casings (ähh, kann mal jemand nachgucken, ob dass tatsächlich Türverkleidungen sind?!
) and some other parts at last.
It´s possible to change, but it´s a lot of work, not easy and very expensive, too
