Motor oils for gas-driven vehicles
Next to biogas and industrial gases, CNG and LPG are the most-used natural gas fuels for passenger cars and commercial vehicles. CNG (compressed liquid gas) is a natural gas and consists of 80-99 % methane CH4. LPG (liquid pressurized gas) is a liquid gas made up of propane and butane. With regard to the choice of the available motor oils, you do not need to differentiate between LPG and CNG. The motor oils for gas-driven vehicles must be used with additional additives in comparison to oils for pure gasoline engines, and the amount of sulphate ash may not rise above 1 % in order to prevent a glow ignition in the engine.
For gas-driven vehicles, LIQUI MOLY offers the products TOP TEC 4100 5W-40 in 1 and 5 liter containers, as well as low-friction motor oil 10W-40, also in 1 and 5 liter containers.
For very warm regions, motor oils with higher viscosity classes are recommended. Here LIQUI MOLY supplements their product range with Touring Special oils primarily for export in the classes 10W-40, 15W-50 and 20W-20, each in 1 and 4 liter containers.

Additives for gas-driven vehicles
As a result of high temperatures that develop in the gas engine during the combustion process, in comparison to diesel or gasoline engines, the corresponding additive should be added to the tank via a metering device for optimal lubrication and protection of the valves. LIQUI MOLY offers this additive called 'Valve Protection for Gas Vehicles' in 1
liter containers. The additive prevents the overheating of the cylinder area and correspondingly the corrosion of the cylinder heads.
